Cargill Shares Hope for Kansans – Kansas Food Bank

Cargill Shares Hope for Kansans

Tuesday, November 18th, 2025 – Cargill’s mission is to Nourish the World, and right here in Kansas, they are doing just that. The Kansas Food Bank is extremely proud to announce an incredible donation to help share hope with our food insecure neighbors, this Thanksgiving and beyond. On Wednesday, November 12th, the Kansas Food Bank, Cargill and many partner agencies gathered together for a press conference to celebrate the gifts.

You can watch the presentation in its entirety below, or on our Kansas Food Bank YouTube channel.

The conference highlighted three main points that Cargill’s generosity encompasses this year:

  • 75,000 pounds of Turkey product donated
  • $100,000 Matching Gift Opportunity for the Food 4 Kids program – kicks off on Tuesday, December 2nd
  • $150,000 in Nourishing Kansas Agency Grants that will support Kansas Food Bank partner agencies

“At Cargill, our purpose is clear — that’s to nourish the world. It’s a big responsibility, and one that we don’t take lightly… Our donation of 75,000 pounds of turkey will provide 300,000 servings to folks in this community. We know that food is much more than a meal — it provides community, hope, and a place to gather.” -Stephanie Moyer, Cargill Turkey

To help us celebrate these gifts, the Kansas Food Bank invited some of our local partners to attend the event, and challenged them even further by asking them to create a “paper plate turkey” to display during the press conference. We’ve always known you have to be creative in the hunger relief space to problem solve and feed our neighbors, but they showed their true artistic sides with this challenge!

Overall, it was a wonderful morning celebrating and highlighting the incredible folks at Cargill, as well as our partner agencies. The Kansas Food Bank and Cargill have been long-time partners, and we look forward to continuing this important work side by side, nourishing our community together.
