There are so many ways to support your neighbors experiencing food insecurity, and we are incredibly proud to partner with local businesses to help raise funds for the Kansas Food Bank and spread awareness about food insecurity right here in Kansas. Peanut Butter Drive – Dillons x Wichita Turkey Trot
In honor of Wichita Turkey Trot’s 50th Anniversary, they’re going BIG and kicking off the fun a week early at the grand re-opening of the Dillons at Harry & Webb.
On Friday, November 14th and Saturday, November 15th, volunteers from Wichita Turkey Trot will be onsite at the newly reopened store AND three others from 10 AM to 2 PM, collecting peanut butter donations to help fuel our hungry neighbors.
Stop by to see the store, and pick up a jar of peanut butter to donate while you’re there!

Funnel Cakes for the Food Bank – Saturday, November 15th
Craving one last funnel cake for the year? Here’s your chance to snag one and make a difference for hungry Kansans!
Saturday, November 15th from 11 AM to 5 PM, Ottaway Legacy Shows will have their food trailer set up in the SCHEELS Wichita parking lot, and will be donating 100% of all sales from the day to the Kansas Food Bank!
There will also be a non-perishable food drive happening if you’d like to donate food as well.
Can’t make the event? No worries! You can donate a “virtual funnel cake” and help provide up to 40 meals! Donate here.

KAKE’s Food for Good Drive – Now through Friday, November 21st
Join KAKE and the Kansas Food Bank for a holiday food drive to help stock our neighbors’ shelves this season! It’s as easy as 1, 2, 3!
1 – Pick up an empty bag (or 10!) from KAKE Studios (1500 N West) or the Kansas Food Bank (1919 E Douglas) now through November 20th.
2 – Fill the bag with pantry staples and other non-perishables listed
3 – Return the bag to the Kansas Food Bank on Friday, November 21st from 6 AM to 3 PM, and enter to win prizes from KAKE!

Wichita Turkey Trot – Saturday, November 22nd
Wichita’s oldest road race, with both 2 mile and 10 mile race options, plus a Tiny Turkey Trot! Celebrate the 50th anniversary of this great local race, and help feed your neighbors by adding a donation at registration, or bringing a jar of peanut butter to the event.

Other Ways to Give

Dillons Community Rewards – Every time you shop at your local Dillons and use your Dillons Plus Card, a donation will be made to the Kansas Food Bank. All you have to do is enroll your card online. Our organization number is UK853 or you can search for us by name. (donations are not tax deductible)

Walmart Spark Good -Round up your total when you shop at Walmart, at Walmart.com or on the app, and your change will be donated to the Kansas Food Bank! Follow this link to select the Kansas Food Bank as the recipient of your generosity and 100% of your donation! You can also shop some of our most-needed items on our Spark Good Registry here, and you can even choose to have them delivered to the Kansas Food Bank directly! (donations are not tax deductible)

Instacart Community Carts – New in 2022, easily donate items directly to the Kansas Food Bank through the Instacart app! Choose from some of our most-needed items, and Instacart will waive the delivery fee. Download the Instacart app in the Apple Store or Google Play, or visit the Kansas Food Bank’s Community Cart page to start shopping!

Facebook Fundraisers – Facebook makes it easy for you to create fundraisers for events, special causes, and even your birthday. Designate the Kansas Food Bank as the recipient and we will receive 100% of the donations received.
