Dillons Food Stores will be celebrating their grand re-opening of the 47th & Broadway store with a 10:00 AM ribbon cutting presentation on Friday, June 7th!
As part of the celebrations, Dillons will be presenting the Kansas Food Bank with a wonderful gift, and inviting their customers to help fight summer hunger with a two-day fresh food drive at the newly remodeled store. Summer hunger remains a prevalent issue in our community, with many families struggling to make ends meet, and 1 in 5 Kansas kids experiencing hunger.
The Kansas Food remains committed to helping alleviate summer hunger, with our partners at Dillons standing alongside us. On Thursday and Friday, Dillons is inviting customers to pick up an extra item or two to help feed Kansas kids this summer. Milk, apples, lunch meat, string cheese, peanut butter & more can be donated at the store entrances both days, and will be kept in a refrigerated box truck throughout the drive.
Dillons has been a wonderful partner of the Kansas Food Bank, through their Zero Hunger Zero Waste initiative, in-store donation campaigns, the grocery rescue pickup program and much more, and we are so incredibly honored to have the support of the entire Dillons team and their customers as we work to provide meals for Kansas families this summer and beyond.
