The Kansas Food Bank is a mobile force against hunger. Every year it moves millions of pounds of food along a distribution system that serves 86 Kansas counties–73,000 square miles. It has fashioned a distribution system for getting food where it will do the most good in the fastest, most reliable and most cost-effective way possible.
It has invested in and nurtured a remarkably self-sufficient Eastern Regional Center in Indepen-dence where more than a half-million pounds of food are received every year from the Food Bank
