Don’t forget, the Kansas Food Bank accepts donations of fresh produce.  Is your garden producing this year?  Have too many cucumbers, tomatoes or zucchini?  We accept donations all summer and into the fall of produce.  Our partner agencies always report to us how much their pantry guests enjoy receiving fresh items.  The Kansas Food Bank has made the commitment to offer more fresh, healthy, nutritious produce throughout our network.  Last year we distributed 1.5 million pounds.  So, remember us when your garden gets out of hand, we will put that extra produce to good use!
